Keep getting this notice. Syncing is not working anymore. clicking it does not do anything "The Anki-Hub Add on needs to be updated to continue working. Do you want to open the add-on update dialog now?"

even after I click yes, nothing happens. whenever I click sync, I get this notice.

To update the addon, just go to tools → addons → click on ankihub → get updates

@ProductTeam this happened to me too, nothing worked until i went to tools → addons → get updates for ankihub addon

I’m also getting this error. The other issue is the ankhub add on update pop-up appears on the start up, causing the menu bar to be grayed out (eg I can’t just click “tools ==> add ons…”). So I’m forced to click “yes” or “no”. And whether I click “yes”, “no”, or X out of the update ankihub pop-up, my anki is met with endless mac spinning wheel.

Why can't I update the AnkiHub addon?

The work around for problems with updating add-ons is to: Close Anki. Start Anki in safe mode by holding the shift key while it starts. Update the add-ons (Tools → Add-ons → Check for Updates). Restart Anki.
