Hi Camila!

It looks like you’re having an issue with the AnKing deck showing empty cards. This is a common issue that has a simple solution!

Why This Is Happening

The issue you’re experiencing has two parts:

  1. The deck showing fewer cards than expected (only about 28,000)
  2. The cards appearing empty

Based on your screenshots, this is happening because:

  • By default, all cards in the AnKing deck are suspended when first installed
  • You may have a missing cloze deletion in some cards, causing them to appear empty

How to Fix It

To fix the empty cards:

  1. Go to Tools in the top menu
  2. Click on Empty Cards
  3. Make sure the box is ticked and click Delete

This will remove any cards that are missing cloze deletions and showing up as empty.

To see all the cards in the deck:

  1. Go to Browse
  2. On the left side, click on Tags
  3. Look for the tag #AK_Step1_V12 (or whichever version you’re using)
  4. Select the cards you want to study
  5. Right-click and choose Toggle Suspend

The cards will turn blue (unsuspended) and will now be available for review.

If that doesn’t work:

You might have accidentally protected your Text field. To fix this:

  1. Go to the AnkiHub website
  2. Find the deck and click the 3 dots in the top right
  3. Select Manage protected data
  4. Uncheck the Text field
  5. Save changes
  6. In Anki, reset your local changes by going to Browse → AnkiHub → Reset local changes

Let me know if this solves your issue! The AnKing deck has all its cards suspended by default, which is why it appears to have fewer cards than it should.
