How can I make it so that, when I create extra cloze cards based on anking cards, when I sync they are not deleted. For example,

”Injury to the iliohypogastric nerve often presents as burning or tingling pain at the {{c1::surgical incision site}} radiating to the inguinal and suprapubic region”

I wanted to add two closes here, so I did.

but now, when I sync with ankihub, the 2nd clozes are gone. How can I stop this?

Hello,

If you want AnkiHub not to overwrite the cloze, you will have to protect the cloze, you can do this by following this tutorial: Protect Field for Individual Note

but, when I do this, doesn’t it mean that AnkiHub will then not overwrite/change all the cards, so even if some cards with wrong info? Is it not possible that I can protect only the extra clozes? Would I need to give those cards a separate note type that is not affiliated with Ankihub?

No, it will only not overwrite that specific card you protect. All other cards won’t be protected unless you specifically protect

So if you protect the text field for that card using the tutorial above, it will not overwrite changes to that card only, not other cards
