So I just got the subscription and downloaded Anking mcat on on my anki and noticed the settings are a bit different. Before I got a subscription, my anki would review new cards and old cards every other few cards or so, but when I got the subscription, it first reviews all my old cards first and then reviews all the new cards. Are these settings the way it’s supposed to be and why is it like this? Also whenever I click hard(10 min) it doesn’t pop up in my middle category immediately, I have to actually wait 10 min to see it. It used to be <10 min now it’s just 10 min and I think that’s the problem. Is this also on purpose. Please help!

Hello,
This is because you checked “use recommended settings” when installing the deck, this switches the MCAT deck settings to the ones we recommend.
For the issue where you have to wait 10 minutes, this is because of the learn ahead limit
To fix this, basically find what is your “again” button minutes. For example, if your again button is 10 minutes, set your learn ahead limit to 11 minutes.
You can set your learn ahead limit by going to Anki at the top left → Preferences → Review → Learn ahead limit
Tutorial: Adjusting the Learn Ahead Limit
For the issue regarding reviewing old and new cards together, you can modify this in this setting:
I see, well if these recommended settings are better then I guess I will stick with them. I was just curious why it was different. Also another quick questions. When I went to restore my backup. I clicked sync and it stated do you want to upload or download to ankiweb. I chose upload for my computer and download for my phone. Does this affect my anki in any way? I was very confused why it was asking me this. I was scared bc I remember it stated something about losing all progress.
This is the correct option
No, it will not affect it. This is basically syncing with Anki to the cloud.
You upload to Ankiweb so all your current progress (which is on your laptop) will be saved. Then, on your phone, you click download from ankiweb.
Think of ankiweb as being in the sky, if you send it up (upload) from your computer, then you will need to download (bring it down from the sky) on your phone.
TLDR: it basically saves your progress, so if you do cards on multiple devices, they can sync seamlessly without any issues.
