This has been happening for so long with various cards but I FINALLY caught it in the act. Whenever I do my flashcards I notice that some cards are repeating. Like the EXACT same card (not a close card with a different answer)Often times the 2nd time I see it has a different interval for some reason, then I just end up seeing the next day again. I have no clue how to fix this, I’ve tried deleting decks, resetting intervals, even completely restarting Anking after Step 1. Has anybody else had this problem? Timestamped photos for proof.
Can you confirm they are the exact same card (and not just duplicates) by checking the card ID from the _Cards > Info _ in the Browse window?
It seems to be the same card. If I got into my history for cards that I studied today it shows only one card with this text. It also shows that the card was placed in the “again” along with other cards even though I clicked “good” on most of them.
Can you post the card info for the note in question?
From the browser, if you can select the appropriate card, right-click, then select info as so:
There should be a panel at the bottom that lists the review history for that card, that will look something like this:
Can you share what that panel looks like for the mannitol card from the images you shared?
Did you by chance reschedule this card previously, on 09/03?
If so, can you walk me through how exactly you went about it?
Alternately, are you using a remote or any other keyboard shortcuts or gestures? The card review history indicates that you hit ‘again’ on the card at 7:31am, which would lead to an interval of 5 minutes and would explain why you saw the card twice within the given day.
Yeah, I did reschedule the card on 9/03. I had no reason to hit again today as I got the card right initially. I am using a remote, is that the problem?
My hunch would be either that you might have a keybind mis-programmed, or something similar. The review history for the card shows pretty clearly that it recorded you having hit ‘again’ on that card at 9:31am.
Could be a button-mashing, or a mis-matched keybind, a wonky remote, or a few other things. But the remote would be my initial hunch; first thing I would do is double-check and verify all your key bindings and/or the way you’re holding the remote, etc.
Okay, I’ll make sure that my remote settings are still working properly. I have had it for a couple years now, so I wouldn’t be shocked if its glitching. Thanks for the help!
