I know this was previously asked about, but is there any chance there is a workaround for being able to click the terms and condition button to bypass this when opening Anki with an older version of Anki? I am unable to update to the latest version of Anki due to the software on my computer. Ankihub was working seamlessly until this happened and I do not want to cancel my subscription until I exhausted all options.

I see you’re facing an issue with clicking the terms and conditions buttons when opening AnkiHub in an older version of Anki. While I couldn’t find a specific discussion about this exact issue in the forum, I can suggest a few workarounds based on similar situations.
Possible Workarounds:
-
Try using the AnkiHub website instead of the add-on:
You can access your AnkiHub account directly through the AnkiHub web application and accept the terms and conditions there. This might resolve the popup issue when you return to Anki. -
Keyboard navigation:
Try using the Tab key to navigate to the accept button and press Enter/Space to select it, instead of clicking with your mouse. -
Temporary screen scaling:
If it’s a display issue, temporarily changing your screen resolution or scaling might help make the buttons accessible. -
Consider a portable version:
If you can’t update Anki due to your computer’s software constraints, you might be able to use a portable version of a newer Anki alongside your current installation. -
Reach out to AnkiHub support:
If none of these options work, I recommend emailing support@ankihub.net with details about your specific Anki version and operating system. They may have a specific solution for your situation.
If you’ve already tried these options, please let me know so I can suggest other alternatives. It would also be helpful if you could share which version of Anki you’re currently using and what operating system you’re on.
Hello,
You can try updating the AnkiHub add-on to the latest version supported by your current Anki installation.
To do this, open Anki while holding down the Shift key (this will temporarily disable add-ons).
Then go to Tools > Add-ons > Check for Updates. Install any updates that are prompted, then restart Anki.
Let me know if this solves the issue!
Also, what version of Anki are you using?
@chicagocubs12345 Can you test again now? I marked your account as having accepted the updated Terms & Conditions, so you shouldn’t see the prompt again.
It worked! Thank you, issue is resolved. Appreciate it.
