Thanks for the screenshot and details, and welcome to AnkiHub!
The message in your image:
“We’re unable to reach AnkiHub due to planned maintenance or an unexpected issue…”
means that Anki on your computer can’t connect to AnkiHub’s servers at all, so the issue is usually not your email or password.
My Mac is running Sonoma 14.8.7 and Anki version 26.05. There are no updates available for the add-on. Safari cannot access AnkiHub, I can only access the website via Chrome. I also tried mobile hotspot instead of home wifi but it didn’t work

Thanks for the extra info and screenshots – that helps a lot.
From what you described:
Safari cannot open ankihub.net due to a secure connection issue.
Chrome can access AnkiHub, but Anki (desktop) also can’t reach it.
You already tried a different network (hotspot) → same problem.
This strongly suggests something on your Mac itself (certificate / security / filtering software) is blocking secure connections to AnkiHub for Safari and for Anki, but not for Chrome.
Please try these steps:
1. Check date, time, and region
Incorrect system time often breaks HTTPS.
On macOS: → System Settings → General → Date & Time
If it works in private but not normal mode, a Safari extension or cached data is likely the cause.
Temporarily disable Safari extensions:
Settings → Extensions → turn all off → restart Safari → test again.
If you’re using any content blocker, antivirus, ad-blocker, or VPN app that integrates with Safari (AdGuard, Little Snitch, Norton, etc.), temporarily disable or uninstall it and retry.
3. Check for security software / network filters on macOS
Because Chrome works but system-wide connections (Safari + Anki) fail, check for:
VPN / Proxy:
System Settings → Network → VPN & Proxies → turn off any VPN or proxy, then retry.
My Mac is running Sonoma 14.8.7 and Anki version 26.05. There are no updates available for the add-on. Safari cannot access AnkiHub, I can only access the website via Chrome.
Please check if you have any network proxies configured. To clear proxy settings, go to Apple menu > System Settings > Network, select your network service (e.g., Wi-Fi), click Details, and then select the Proxies tab. Uncheck all the protocol boxes, click OK, and then click Apply to save the changes.
If you also have any VPN/firewall software, please try disabling it.
It sounds like you have general connection issues in Anki if AnkiWeb is also not working. Posting in the official Anki forums might help: https://forums.ankiweb.net/
There you can receive more technical help regarding Anki. Once you get it working for Anki, it will also work for the AnkiHub add-on.
