Can't see any images on cards

Hello,

I had been using my pixorize deck on anki with no problems with images before today. Today I joined ankihub, and downloaded the anking deck, and now i cant see any images on any cards, both the anking deck and my previous pixorize deck.

I’ve trouble shooted with someone from ankihub but he couldnt figure it out. We’ve updated Anki, addons, note types and reset local changes, but still nothing. I’m running on mac os monterey 12.6, and Version ⁨24.11 (87ccd24e)⁩ Python 3.9.18 Qt 6.6.2 PyQt 6.6.1 on anki.

I’m not a computer or anki genius. Just thought I’d upgrade my anki deck in order to link cards to my amboss questions but now I feel like i shot myself in the foot. Upset i cant use the previous pixorize cards i relied on, or see images on other decks. Please help!

Hello,

Where did you get the Pixorize deck? Since it’s not on AnkiHub, you can reinstall it from where you found it and the images should repopulate there

How much storage do you have on your device?

Also, are you missing all images or just the little OnlineMedEd banners?

Also for our records: Please use AnkiHub > Help > Upload logs and data and let us know the filename shown.

Hi Ahmed, I got the anki deck from my pixorize account. But now that you mention it, i dont have much storage on my laptop, so if thats a possibility for the problem, then its likely the reason. I am missing all images, not just banners.

I will try to find a solution for my storage issue (side question- do you think an external hard drive would work to open more storage and solve the anki issue?).

You can try redownloading it and importing it, it should populate the images if the images were in the deck

This could possibly work, the anki images would need to be installed on that folder but you’ll need to sync with ankiweb to make sure the images stay and don’t disappear

I believe all the media in the anking deck is something like 11gb, not 100% sure but the more storage you can free up the better

Hi Ahmed, so i have 70gb of free storage, plenty for the deck, and id like to be able to see the included images on the anking deck. i saw on another thread to check missing media. this is the screen shot if it helps. would i have to delete and redownload the deck?

Before trying the below, can you go to browse in your Anki → search this “nid:1496165382250”.

Can you take a screenshot of what you see in the card?

Then:

Try clicking delete unused, then resetting local changes again, and then check the media sync and see if it says installing

Sorry, i tried just deleting the deck and i redownloaded it. when i redownloaded it it added the anking deck to an exsisting deck, so i separated the two. not sure what i did wrong but when i browse for that card now, i cant find anything, and i also dont see the pixorize tag at all anymore.

How did you redownload the AnKing deck? Did you click reset local changes yet?

To separate the deck completely, you can follow this tutorial but select AnKingOverhaul (AnKing / AnKingMed)

Can you take a screenshot of your tags and note types like this

So you are missing all images in the entire deck, correct? Including the ones we add (not just OnlineMedEd banners?)
