Captain Hook MCAT Deck Title Formatting Question

The AnkiHub-synced Captain Hook MCAT deck is showing underscores in the subdeck titles, while the manual .apkg version called .Captain Hook Deck v2 has normal spaces. I’m new to using Anki so I’m not sure if this is just something happening with my settings Is there any way to get them to display with spaces instead of underscores?

• The AnkiHub-synced “Captain Hook MCAT” deck uses underscores (_) in many subdeck names.
• The .apkg “.Captain Hook Deck v2” uses spaces instead.
• When you sync with AnkiHub, your local deck names are kept in sync with the names on the shared deck, so manual renaming (e.g., changing _ to a space) would either:
  • Be overwritten by future AnkiHub syncs, or
  • Create conflicts / separate decks that no longer follow the shared updates.

Because of that, there isn’t a clean way right now to have spaces and keep full AnkiHub syncing for that deck, unless the deck owner changes the names on AnkiHub itself.

1. Keep using the AnkiHub deck as-is (recommended)

   • Pros: You keep getting all Captain Hook updates, bug fixes, and new cards.
   • Cons: You’ll see underscores in some subdeck titles.

I can’t say I’m familiar with that particular deck, as there are hundreds of decks on AnkiHub. But, for better or worse, the titles in any given deck will be whatever the deck owner/uploader set them to be.

If you’d like to change them you can always rename any deck by clicking the ‘rename’ option as so:
