Clarification on the chat bot

  1. is there a way to use the AI chat through a web browser?

  2. Does the AI model read all cards in my collection, including those not in the anking deck?

  3. If it does read all cards in the collection, is there a way to disable the AI functionality of the add on if Iโ€™d like to not have it read school specific decks?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

  1. To my knowledge, the only way to use the AI chat is through Anki and through Smart Search on the AnkiHub deck webpage.
  2. No, it will only read cards from the deck that youโ€™re using the AI chat for. Here is the list of decks that have AI chat support: ๐Ÿค– What decks have AI enabled?

I hope this clarifies it for you.

Hello,

The Chatbot functions through the AnkiHub add-on so at current there isnโ€™t a way to use the Chatbot directly through a browser, unfortunately. This hews to limitations with the way Anki is written, ultimately. A quirk/limitation of the underlying software.

The AI model can only read cards that are present in decks that are both uploaded to AnkiHub and for which AI features are enabled (not all decks have this feature enabled, FWIW).

Unless those decks are both uploaded to AnkiHub and have the AI features enabled, the Chatbot canโ€™t โ€˜seeโ€™ them at all.

Let me know if that answers your questions, and/or if thereโ€™s anything else I can help with.

Sorry @MarcosZan I didnโ€™t see that you had already replied when I wrote mine. My bad.
