How to Access AI Chat Bot When No Cards are Due?

I apologize if this question may have been covered already, but I have not been able to identify an answer.

I am wondering how I can access the AI chat bot to ask questions, outside of when a card is qued/due for an anking deck.

Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Accessing the AnkiHub AI Chatbot When No Cards Are Due

Thank you for your question! The AnkiHub AI chatbot is a premium feature that’s integrated into the AnkiHub add-on. Based on the information I found, here’s how you can access it when you don’t have cards due:

How to Access the AI Chatbot:

  1. Open Anki with the AnkiHub add-on installed
  2. Browse to the deck you want to ask questions about
  3. Click on the “Study Now” button for that deck
  4. Use the AI chatbot button that appears in the review screen

The key insight is that you don’t need to wait for cards to be due - you can simply click “Study Now” on any AnkiHub deck to access the review screen where the AI chatbot is available.

If you’re using AnkiHub Premium and still having trouble accessing the chatbot, you might want to:

  • Make sure your AnkiHub add-on is updated to the latest version
  • Verify your AnkiHub Premium subscription is active
  • Check that you’re browsing a deck that supports the AI chatbot feature

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello,

At the moment, it’s only possible to ask questions while reviewing, because the AI chatbot uses those flashcards as the source material.

If the cards you want to ask questions about aren’t due for review, you can create a filtered deck(How to Build a Custom-Filtered Deck) with those specific cards. That way, you’ll be able to review them and ask questions as needed.

Let me know if this answers your question!
