Did all my cards get loaded?

I just downloaded and sync’d the cars into my anki. I see that in each section (B/B, ochem, etc) there are only about 20 cards each. When I look into the Ankihub website it says the anking-mcat deck has 3k notes. Did not all of my decks get loaded in or do they get added as we progress?

I’ll help you understand why you’re only seeing a small number of cards despite the AnKing MCAT deck having around 3,000 notes. Let me search for some relevant information in the community that might explain this situation.

Based on my search of the AnkiHub community forum, I understand your question about the AnKing-MCAT deck. Let me explain what’s happening:

What’s Going On With Your Cards

You’re seeing only about 20 cards in each section (B/B, OChem, etc.) even though the AnKing-MCAT deck contains approximately 3,000 notes total. This is completely normal and expected!

Daily Card Limits in Anki

This is happening because Anki (and AnkiHub) uses a daily limit system for new cards. By default, Anki only shows you a limited number of new cards per day - usually around 20 new cards per day per deck. This is intentional and designed to prevent overwhelm.

From the AnKi manual:

Studying new cards will temporarily increase the number of reviews you need to do a day, as freshly learnt material needs to be repeated a number of times before the delay between repetitions can increase appreciably.

How to Confirm Your Deck is Complete

To verify that all your cards are actually there:

  1. Open Anki
  2. Click “Browse”
  3. On the left side, look at the tags section
  4. Expand the “#AK_MCAT_v2” tag
  5. You should see all the various tags and categories containing the full 3,000+ notes

Adjusting Your Daily New Card Limit (Optional)

If you want to see more cards each day:

  1. Select your deck
  2. Click the gear icon (:gear:) next to the deck name
  3. Go to the “Daily Limits” section
  4. Adjust the “New cards/day” setting

However, be cautious about increasing this number too much. The AnKing team recommends their default settings for a reason - spacing out new cards helps with retention and prevents review overload.

For more information about the AnKing MCAT deck, you can check the AnKing MCAT Deck Wiki which provides details about how to use the deck effectively.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions about using the AnKing-MCAT deck.

Hello

From the sound of it, you may just have your deck settings such that it’s showing you 20 cards from each of your decks, which is normal to start out with

You might take a look at this tutorial, which can walk you through the basics of how to get started with a deck, how the settings work, and hopefully it will help you get squared away: How to Get Started Studying
