Does the newest version of anking have step2 nbme 15/16 cards

i last updated my deck last year around april 2025. i wanted to know if cards for step2 nbme 15/16 are available on anking.

i really want to do the nbme15/16 cards for step2 ck if they are available on anking, but im alson hesistant to synchronize because i have made many changes to anking and made many new cards (ex. removed one by one, timer, and made many different clozes out of cards that had multiple clozes at once) and i dont want to lose these changes

Hello,

Yes, these tags exist in the current version of the AnKing Step Deck:

Regarding losing your edits:

  • AnkiHub never deletes any new cards you have created locally in Anki, so the new cards you created are safe.
  • By default, any edits you made to the cards in the AnKing Step Deck will be overwritten by the current version. Since you likely made changes to a lot of cards and cannot pinpoint exactly which ones, protecting fields manually would be tough. If you knew the exact cards, you could protect specific fields for them, but that would be an extremely manual process. Your only real option would be to protect specific fields across all cards, which would mainly include the โ€œTextโ€ and โ€œExtraโ€ fields. However, these are the fields containing the main content and the most frequent updates. If you protect them, you will not receive any content updates from the AnKing Step deck for those fields. This means your deckโ€™s content will remain outdated, though you would still receive updates for all other fields and tags.

So, itโ€™s a double-edged sword, and youโ€™ll need to decide which path to take. I would recommend updating to the latest version of the AnKing Step deck, even if it means losing your edits. A lot changes in a year, and the deck has received a massive number of updates.

i made changes to lots of cards. is there any way i can import just those tags? i would be willing to subscribe again for it

Itโ€™s not possible to import only the tags, as tags are attached to the card ID itself.

What you can do is export your current deck to serve as a backup so you donโ€™t risk losing anything. Then, subscribe to the AnKing deck on AnkiHub, and before opening Anki on your computer, go to the AnkiHub website and protect all the fields you may have edited (which are likely just the Text and Extra fields). After that, open Anki to install the deck. You will get the new cards and all the updated content for all fields, including tags, except for the content in the protected fields.

If you decide to go this route, I can give you a step-by-step guide with screenshots so everything goes smoothly.
