Duke pathoma media missing

Hi! I’m having some trouble with my duke pathoma medias. Some of them are missing even though I have medial sync as Idle. Can someone tell me where I can import the whole complete set of media files?

Thanks for all the detail and screenshots – that helps a lot.

A few key points first:

  • AnkiHub does not host or distribute any copyrighted media (e.g. Pathoma images/videos/audio).
  • AnkiHub can sync references to media between users, but each user needs to obtain the actual media files themselves from a legitimate source (e.g. your own Pathoma subscription, deck author’s shared package, etc.).

So:

1. Why some cards show images and others don’t

Your second screenshot shows cards where media is present locally; the first shows notes that reference media files that aren’t in your Anki media folder. AnkiHub is correctly synced (ā€œMedia Sync: Idleā€), but it can only sync file names, not the files you don’t already have.

2. Where to get the ā€œcomplete setā€ of Duke Pathoma media

You’ll need to:

  1. Check the specific Duke Pathoma deck topic in the #ankihub-decks category (or the original AnKing / Duke deck documentation) to see what media is officially expected and how to obtain it legally.
  2. If you imported this deck from somewhere else (e.g. directly from AnKing), re‑download the original .apkg that includes media and import it into the same profile. That will place all available media into your collection’s media folder.
  3. Then run a full Anki sync so AnkiWeb / other devices get the files.

Because questions about specific decks should go in #ankihub-decks, I’d suggest:

  • Reposting (or asking a follow‑up) in the Duke Pathoma deck’s topic with:
    • Exactly which Duke Pathoma deck you subscribed to on AnkiHub (link to it)
    • Whether you ever imported a .apkg that contained media
    • A couple of example note IDs that show missing media

Deck maintainers there can then tell you:

  • Which media is expected
  • Whether it’s actually provided in any package
  • What the recommended legal route is to get the full set.

If you’d like, reply here with a link to the specific Duke Pathoma AnkiHub deck you’re using, and I can point you to the right deck topic to continue this.
