Help with re-adding anking deck back on

I tried to reset/forget my cards on Anki but I think I deleted them all instead.

I then deleted all of my decks and tried to redownload the add-ons, but even after re-adding them, the deck is still not there.

I also reset all of my local changes and that didn’t work either.

Someone please help!

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

I show that you are only subscribed to the MCAT deck; are there other decks you’re hoping to restore?

Does the MCAT deck contain the full 6,200+ deck? Because I was able to recover it from previous backups and only 2,200 populated, but now it looks like the Mr. Pankow deck is separated and it’s 5,500 cards. Is that how it’s supposed to be?

Hello,

I’m not sure what you mean by separated. But yes, the deck is about 6.3k cards.

Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.

Here are the decks I have because I couldn’t redownload anki and these were from the backup.

The Mr.Pankow deck and the Anking deck were separated and it looks like the Anking deck only has ~2200 cards. I’m not sure if I have all of the content.

Also, I only restarted Anki yesterday, so that is why I’m confused some of the decks are empty.

It looks like you installed the Anking MCAT deck alongside some older decks, which is likely the source of issues here since it caused your deck to import the cards into and alongside an older subdeck organization.

Do you have review history you want to keep, or are you trying to start fresh?

I just wanted to start fresh. I don’t care to keep the other decks since an updated version of mr. Pankow is included in Anking, right?

Yeah, Pankow is included in Anking.

What I would recommend, if you don’t have review history you want to keep: just delete all of it. Just get rid of all the MCAT decks entirely.

You can delete them all from your main page by clicking on the gear icon and clicking ‘delete’:

Once you’ve done that, follow these steps to ‘reset’ your Anking deck: Resetting Local Changes

Let me know how/if that works for you, and we’ll go from there.

Hi Brian,

I was able to delete the other decks but resetting the local changes didn’t recover the rest of the cards.

Can you show me your main Anki screen, and your tags, just so I can take a look?

Hi there,

Here it is. I just got the new Ankihub deck after restarting my computer also.

Can you show me your main Anki screen, and your tags?

Is this what you mean?

Sort of. I’m hoping to see your tags, which are below the image provided:

If you can expand this guy and show me what you have present, it would be helpful.

Kk, if you click on this tag can you tell me how many cards are listed as being present?

Should be at the top of your window

It says 3,719.

Can you show me your screen once you’ve clicked on that tag, so I can see your card counter?
