How can i make sure the changes i make to cards on my phone sync and don't get overwritten by the default deck on the PC?

So i use anki on my phone and pc
When i make changes to notes on my phone and then i sync from my phone sometimes the changes i make on my phone get overwritten and sometimes they don’t

Is there any way to make sure the changes i make on my phone overwrite the ones on the PC?

I usually sync first from my phone they press sync on the PC

Hello,

If you are using AnkiHub, you will need to protect the fields you are making changes to if they are not already protected, see this post for more info on this: 🔐 Protecting Fields and Tags

Also, are you prompted to click upload to ankiweb or download from ankiweb?

If you made changes on your phone then sync. When you get on your computer make sure to click download from ankiweb to receive the edits from your phone (this rarely happens but just wanted to point that out)
