I have been using the anking overhaul deck for step 1 and 2. It is great, but occasionally I want to modify a note for my personal use. These are not modifications I submit to the deck at large. When I sync with ankihub, will my personal edits be overwritten, thereby returning the notes to their original state? Thanks for clarifying!
Your changes will be overwritten if they are not in a protected field. You can configure protected fields from the deck’s page in the website:
You can alternatively protect a single note by right clicking on the note → click on AnkiHub_Protect → pick the field you want protected
Now you can make changes to that field without it being overwritten for that specific card only
