I have downloaded and got the AnKing step deck to my main screen. I now want to figure out how to break it into the associated tags on the main screen. Please help

The tags are available in the Browse screen, rather than the main screen.
From your main screen you can click ‘Browse’:
From there, your tags should be on the left-hand side:

I think you mean subdecks?
You can create subdecks by clicking on the button ‘create deck’ from the main screen:
From there, you can move cards into that deck.
So you could create a deck that has, say, cardiology cards. Name it ‘cardio’ and then move any cardiology-related cards into that deck. Etc., etc.

From Browse, you can select whichever cards you want. Command+A to select all of them. Then, right-click, select ‘change’ deck, and that’s that.
