How to restore old anking cards after accidentally deleting them

Hello,

I had a previous anking step deck, however I subscribed to ankihub to utilize the latest decks. I was trying to get rid of the former deck by manually deleting them, but I think I deleted some of the cards associated with the latest anking. Is there any way to redownload the cards that I had deleted from the v12 anking deck? I’m not able to find the uworld associated question tags anymore, and I think it is because I got rid of the wrong cards. Thanks!

I’ll help you recover the AnKing cards you accidentally deleted. Let me search for some relevant information on how to handle this situation.

Restoring Deleted AnKing Cards

Hi there! It sounds like you accidentally deleted some cards from your AnKing v12 deck after subscribing to AnkiHub. The good news is that you can easily restore these deleted cards!

How to Restore Your Deleted Cards

You can recover the accidentally deleted cards by resetting your local changes through the AnkiHub add-on:

  1. Open Anki and go to the Browse section
  2. Click on AnkiHub in the top menu bar
  3. Select Reset all local changes
  4. Choose the AnKing deck you want to restore
  5. Click OK

This will restore all cards to match what’s on the AnkiHub server, including any UWorld tags that were accidentally deleted.

Important Note

This process will revert any intentional changes you made to those cards as well. If you’ve made edits to cards that you want to keep, you might want to export those specific notes before resetting.

If you’re having any further issues or need more specific help with your AnKing deck on AnkiHub, please let me know!

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

You have two broad routes, depending on what you’d like to do:

If you want to restore your collection back to what it previously was, you can restore from a backup. This will push your collection back in time, so you may lose review progress, but will restore your collection exactly as it was at the point in time to which you restore it: How to Restore From Backup

Alternately, you can reset local changes, which will restore any cards in the current AnKing deck that you may have deleted. This will check your local collection and make sure that it agrees with the server copy: Resetting Local Changes

Each one has trade-offs, but you can choose the one that works best for you. Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.
