Hi Farida! Welcome to the AnkiHub community. It looks like you’re having trouble accessing your cards even after syncing and unsuspending them. Let me help you troubleshoot this issue.

Common Solutions for Card Access Issues

1. Check Your Browse View Setting

One common issue is that you might be viewing “notes” instead of “cards” in the browser:

  • Go to Browse in Anki
  • Look at the top where it says “notes” and change it to “cards”
  • This will allow you to see all suspended/unsuspended cards

2. Reset Local Changes

If you’re still having trouble accessing cards after syncing:

  • Go to Browse in Anki
  • Click on the AnkiHub add-on tab in the menu
  • Select Reset All Local Changes
  • Choose the deck you want to reset
  • Click OK

This will restore everything to match what’s on AnkiHub servers, which often resolves syncing issues.

3. Make Sure Cards Are Properly Unsuspended

  • Cards need to be properly unsuspended to appear in your review queue
  • You can select cards by tag and unsuspend them in bulk from the Browse view

4. Verify Your Filters and Card States

  • Check if you have any active filters in the deck browser
  • Make sure your cards aren’t marked as “new” if you’re looking for them in the review queue

Next Steps

Could you please provide some additional information to help me better understand your issue?

  • Which deck are you trying to access?
  • Are you seeing any error messages?
  • Can you see the cards in the browse screen but not when studying?
  • A screenshot of what you’re seeing would be very helpful

This will help me provide you with more specific guidance to solve your problem.

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

Can you share a bit more detail about the specific difficulties you’re running into?

The more context you can share the easier it may be to be of help. Screenshots are ideal, if you can, just so I can see what you’re seeing

Those are helpful screenshots, thank you.

You had mentioned in your initial message that you were having trouble accessing cards. I do see that there are cards available in the images you shared:

Perhaps you can help me understand what difficulties it is that you’re running into?

when i go to study he only card available is the instructions one

additionally the drop down button only shows the instructions card

Hmm, I’m not sure that I’m following. The screenshot you shared shows 9,999 cards as being available

If you click on the ‘AnKing Step Deck’ you may get the instructions card as the first card, this would be normal. But from what you’ve shared it seems that you have thousands of cards ready to be studied

I can’t see from what you’ve shared that anything is amiss. But, maybe you can show me what you see that’s causing difficulties and I’ll do my best to be of help

Additionally, perhaps this tutorial might be of use: How to Get Started Studying

i cant scroll past the instructions card. its like its the only available card in the deck

Hello,

To move past a card, you need to click “Show Answer” and then choose one of the four rating options (Again, Hard, Good, or Easy) that will appear where the “Show Answer” button was.

There is only this instruction card under the AnKing Step Deck itself. Once you get past it, you will begin to see the actual cards from the deck. Alternatively, if you’ve already read the instructions, you can simply delete this card by tapping the three dots (on mobile) or clicking “More” (on desktop) and choosing the delete option.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
