3. Make sure its search string includes the correct deck, e.g. something like:

If the filtered deck continues to misbehave, it’s totally fine to delete that filtered deck; it will not delete your cards. You can always recreate it later.

Yep, that is a card ready to be studied and it is normal to see that come up first.

If you are wondering why there are 0 cards showing up, you can click the link listed on the card to see that post for the answer.

From there, if you hit the space bar a couple of times you should also be able to progress past that screen. Either or both should work

Hi I am having a similar issue, but I am using the MCAT anking deck. I just unsuspended 146 new cards, but am only being shown 14 new cards. My daily limits are also at the max amount. I dont know what the problem is. Please let me know what I can do!

You’re very close to how Anki is intended to work here. What you’re seeing is actually normal Anki behavior, not an AnkiHub problem.

When you unsuspend 146 cards, Anki does not show all 146 on the same day unless you explicitly tell it to. It respects:

• The deck’s daily new‑card limit (which you set to 9999), and
• How many new cards are already in the learning pipeline today,
• Plus a few other constraints like burying sibling cards.

That means:

• Those 146 cards are now eligible to be learned.
• Anki is choosing to introduce 14 of them today.
• The rest will appear on subsequent days (unless you override Anki’s scheduling).

You can confirm this:

1. Open Browse.
2. In the left sidebar, click your MCAT deck (or the specific subdeck).
3. At the top, search:

   deck:"Your MCAT deck name" is:new is:suspended
   

   vs.

   deck:"Your MCAT deck name" is:new -is:suspended
   

   You should see that only some of your new cards are still suspended; the unsuspended ones are just waiting their turn.

If you really want to see all 146 today

This is not recommended long‑term (MCAT is a marathon), but if you intentionally want to learn them all now:

1. In the main deck screen, click the gear icon → Options for your MCAT deck.
2. Under New Cards:
   • Make sure New cards/day = 9999 (you’ve done this).
3. Then go to Tools → Preferences → Scheduling:
   • Click “Reset counts” for today (if available in your version), so Anki forgets that it already introduced new cards earlier today.
4. Back on the main screen, click Study Now again.

If you still don’t see more than 14, Anki may be burying sibling cards (e.g., related cloze deletions). That’s a protection against overloading you with very similar cards in one session. You can disable this under Deck Options → New Cards → Bury related new cards, but that’s usually not recommended.

So the 146 unsuspended cards are fine—they’re just not all scheduled for today.

   MileDown's MCAT Decks – Organized by Coffin and check if there are subdecks.

I can see from the image you shared that you appear to have had other MCAT decks in your collection, either previously or currently

The most likely scenario is that one, or multiple, of your subdecks is using a different preset and that the settings you’ve changed are only for the parent deck

I would double-check your subdeck settings as that is the likeliest culprit here
