A few things to check that usually explain this in the AnKing/AnkiHub setup:

  1. Confirm you’re looking at the right deck

    • In Anki’s main screen, click the gear next to your AnKing deck → Options → Reviews/New Cards to see the limits.
    • Make sure you’re actually studying from the AnKing deck (or the specific subdeck those cards belong to), not a filtered deck or a different subdeck.
  2. Check if daily limits are hiding them

    • In the same options window, check:
      • New cards/day
      • Maximum reviews/day
    • If you unsuspended 200 but your New cards/day is, say, 20, you’ll only see 20 new ones for today. The others are unsuspended but won’t “show up” in the due counts until later days.
    • You can temporarily raise that limit or just trust they’ll appear over the next days.
  3. Verify the cards are really unsuspended

    • Go to the Browse window.
    • In the left sidebar, click the AnKing deck (or the specific deck) and then the tag AK Step 2 v12::IM no dupes.
    • At the top, click Search bar and use:
      deck:"AnKing::..." tag:"AK Step 2 v12::IM no dupes"

    • Look for the suspend icon (small pause symbol) next to the cards:
      • Yellow pause icon = suspended
      • No icon = active
    • Sort by the “Suspended” column if you have it visible, or add it via Columns → Suspended.
  4. Check if some are in a different deck

    • In the Browse window with those tagged cards selected, look at the Deck column.
    • Sometimes cards end up in a different AnKing subdeck, so they won’t increase the counts in the deck you’re watching.
    • If needed, select them → Right‑click → Change Deck… and move them to the correct deck.
  5. Use the “Stats” window to confirm totals

    • From the main screen, click Stats.
    • At the top, select the AnKing deck (or the specific subdeck).
    • Check how many New and Review cards exist in that deck overall. That can reassure you that the cards exist but just aren’t due yet.

If you’re okay with it, can you post a screenshot of:

  1. The Browse window filtered to AK Step 2 v12::IM no dupes showing:
    • The Deck and Suspended columns
  2. Your deck options (New cards/day and Maximum reviews/day) for the deck you’re studying

With that, I can help you pinpoint exactly where those “missing” ~18 cards went.

Hello,

Can you to take a screenshot of your deck settings? Do you have any bury siblings options toggled on?

hii thanks os much for respondng!
so when i unsuspended
i go to browse and click
tag:#AK_Step2_v12::!Shelf::IM::no_dupes card:1
so im only seeing 200 of the card 1 only.
but all of the 200 doesnt show up

Try toggling off this option, clicking save, and see if it fixes it.

Also, can you take a screenshot of your main Anki screen?

it didnt fix the problem if anything i have less cards populated now
im not sure why i have one that says (ankihub) and the other one doesnt.
one deck has 12k cards the othe has 16k
nobody could figure out why
but regardless, i go to browse and the tagged portion to unsuspend cards

The separate decks might be the reason this is occuring.

First, try merging the 2 decks, you can follow this FAQ: Why do I have two AnKing decks?

Then, make sure to move the cards for one deck to the deck you’d like to keep, you can do this by:

  1. Go to browse in Anki
  2. Go to the left hand side and find “Decks”
  3. Find the one you don’t want to keep and select it
  4. Cmd + A on mac to select all the cards
  5. Right click → change deck
  6. Select the deck you want all those cards to be in from now on
  7. Then you can delete the duplicate deck since all those cards have now been moved to another deck

Also, I see that you have decks alled “Sketchy Micro from AK deck”, the cards from the AnKing deck may actually be there if you’ve moved them therefore they won’t populate under “AnKing Overhaul for Step 1&2” but rather under the decks you have created.

To avoid this issue, you can choose to move all AnKing related decks under the main deck “AnKing Overhaul for Step 1 &2”

For example, currently it shows you have only 4 decks that have the AnkiHub setting preset

This means that some decks and subdecks are not following your preset, ensure all the AnKing ones are set under the same setting present so settings can apply correctly and you can see all the cards you have unsuspended

After that, make sure you set your settings to all decks in the subdeck. To do this

  1. Go to the settings icon next to the deck
  2. Click on the arrow next to save
  3. Click save to all subdecks

WOW thank you so much im going to change it now
but if there are new updates to the cards or if new cards are added will i still get them if i delete one of the decks?

with my luck the deck i delete would be the original deck
i created a sucdeck for sketchy micro when i was studying for step 1
im gonna change it back to the anking deck (once i have only one deck)
thank you so much!!!

slight issue i encountered.. all the subdecks you see under Anking overhaul step 1 & 2 ..
after deleting the (ankihub) deck when i went to the deck management and changed the card destination from the (ankihub) deck to the Anking overhaul step 1 & 2 deck,
all of the subdecks you see under (FM, IM, OBGYN, PEDS, PSYCH surgery )you see listed also deleted) it gave me this prompt

and i clicked moved cards but when i did all of the subdecks deleted even though they were under the Anking overhaul step 1 & 2

if I were to go on browse to the subdecks portion for example the psych subdeck would say its under Anking overhaul step 1 & 2

for example:

Yes, you won’t be deleting any cards per se, just moving them to one deck and deleting the empty deck that remains afterwards.

If any cards end up getting deleted accidentally, you can reset local changes to get them back. This is how to do that: Resetting Local Changes

For these decks , try manually holding on the Sketchy ones and moving them under “AnKing Overhaul For Step 1 & 2”, then do the “save to all subdecks” in the settings.

how can i move the sketchy micro into the anking overhaul deck from the browse screen?

Same steps as above here, but just go to the Sketchy deck you have and Cmd + A and then move all the cards back to “AnKing Overhaul”

okay so i did everything you said but im still missing cards

i changed everything onto one deck, deleted the other, went to deck management to have all decks under one anking deck
…so i went to go do some cards.. i unsuspended 200 and only 180 populated
i dont know where the rest of the cards are
did i do something wrong

Can you take a screenshot of your new settings now?

Also, can you take a picture of the screen that follows when you click on the deck? It may be buried cards that are not showing up
