No closet icon for IO-one by one

Hello!

I’m trying to create IO-one by one cards and am having trouble. Not sure if I need to download any add-ons or delete any card types. But this is what it looks like when I try to use the Anking IO-one by one card type.

I’ll help you with creating IO-one by one cards in AnkiHub. Let me search for some relevant information first.

Hi duydo202,

I see you’re trying to create Image Occlusion (IO) one-by-one cards with the AnKing card type, but you’re missing the cloze icon.

This is likely because you need to install the necessary add-on to work with Image Occlusion in the AnKing IO-one by one card type. The native Image Occlusion feature in Anki 23.10+ uses a different interface than the specialized AnKing IO cards.

Here’s what you should do:

  1. Install the Image Occlusion Enhanced add-on - This is required for the AnKing IO-one by one card type. You can install it from the Anki add-on page by going to Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons and entering the code: 1374772155

  2. Restart Anki after installing the add-on

  3. Make sure you’re using the correct note type - Confirm you’ve selected the “AnKing IO-one by one” note type when adding a new card

  4. Check your Anki version - Some add-ons may have compatibility issues with newer Anki versions. The latest versions of Anki (23.10+) have native Image Occlusion support which works differently than the add-on version.

If you continue to have issues after these steps, you might want to consider:

  • Using the native Image Occlusion feature in newer Anki versions
  • Checking if your AnkiHub subscription is syncing the AnKing deck correctly
  • Making sure all required add-ons for the AnKing deck are installed

Let me know if these steps help solve your issue!

@AnkiHub_AI_bot is wrong here. You need the AnKing Note Types add-on instead. It’ll add a button to the editor that you can use to create IO one by one notes.

I’ll search for more information about AnKing Note Types and the Image Occlusion features to provide an accurate response.

You’re absolutely right, @abdo.nh! Thanks for the correction.

Hi @duydo202,

To fix the missing closet icon for the AnKing IO-one by one card type, you need to install the AnKing Note Types add-on, not the Image Occlusion Enhanced add-on I incorrectly mentioned.

Here’s how to properly set up your AnKing IO-one by one cards:

  1. Install the AnKing Note Types add-on:

    • Go to Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons
    • Enter the code: 952691989
    • Install and restart Anki
  2. After installation:

    • The add-on will properly configure the special functionality needed for the AnKing IO-one by one card type
    • The closet icon should now appear when you’re using this note type

The AnKing Note Types add-on is specifically designed to support all the AnKing deck’s custom note types and their special features, including the IO-one by one functionality.

For more information about using the AnKing Note Types add-on, you can check out this tutorial on how to auto-open fields using the add-on.

Let us know if you need any further assistance!
