I am having the same issue, for the exact same reasons, but I was able to fix it by following the steps above (uninstall, reinstall, and subscribing), but only after I manually converted the card type over to the deck-specific variant.
For the other deck, the addon automatically changed the note types without my having to manually do it.
The decks were using the Anking Overhaul note type, originally. When a deck gets uploaded to AnkiHub, they should go from (for example) โAnKing Overhaulโ to โAnKing Overhaul (Deck name / Deck Owner Name)โ but if they donโt, the addon seems to not recognize the notes/cards as being part of that deck (or itโs a side effect of the real issue - Iโm not sure).
After following all the instructions above, I then had the correct deck type available, and was able to convert the cards by highlighting the cards in the browser > right-clicking the cards > Notes > Change note type. I then re-synced to AnkiHub and the cards were then properly tagged, the suggest changes button was no longer grayed out, etc. But only for that one deck - the other one I did not have to (not really sure why).
(Both decks had been subdecks of a deck that had been uploaded but then deleted before being broken into new decks and uploaded - we decided that one huge deck was unwieldy and opted to have smaller decks.)
A new version of the add-on was released today and with this version subscribers of your deck should be able to properly install the deck by following the instructions below.
Instructions for installing the deck after a previous installation skipped all the notes:
Make sure to update the AnkiHub add-on (Anki main window โ Tools โ Add-ons โ Check for Updates, then update the add-on and restart if there are any updates available)
