Subscriber doesn't get deck updates

Hello, I made a deck that a friend subscribed to and it updated fine at first, but now he isn’t getting the new cards I add when he syncs with AnkiHub. The deck is updating and we tried signing out/signing back in and unsubscribing/resubscribing to the deck which hasn’t worked. I’ve also tried searching his card browser and the cards I add aren’t in his Anki anywhere.

Are you adding new cards to the AnkiHub deck the correct way? You have to suggest a change to add them. If someone else is adding cards, they must be a maintainer for their suggestions to be accepted without needing your approval on AnkiHub.

Oh, I see I’ve been adding cards as the normal basic and cloze type rather than the versions for my ankihub deck. Is there any way I can change those cards’ types to the ankihub cards so I can add them?

That’s right. You can only add cards to your AnkiHub deck using the specific note type associated with that deck.

Go to the browser, select all the cards for which you want to change the note type, right-click, and select ā€œChange Note Type.ā€ Then, look for your deck’s note type; it should have your name to the right of the note type name.

Also, ensure that ā€œSelected notesā€ is chosen in the browser for the ā€œChange Note Typeā€ option to appear.
