Hello AnkiHub Support Team,
I manage/contribute to a large Anki community in Vietnam, consisting of around 30,000 members with very diverse learning needs (not limited to Medicine, but including various subjects, foreign languages like Korean, etc.).
My goal is to build and share high-quality decks that cater to the diverse needs of this community. We are currently facing difficulties with server issues hindering our effective collaboration on deck creation using Anki Collab.
Therefore, I am considering switching to AnkiHub to leverage its better deck management and updating features. However, I have some questions that need clarification before making a decision, particularly regarding the collaboration model and costs for such a large and diverse community, as many members are students with limited financial resources:
- Regarding contributing/suggesting changes (Suggest Changes) on Public Decks:
- If only I, as the deck owner, subscribe to the Core ($6/month) plan and share the deck publicly with the community, can other members who subscribe to this public deck suggest changes?
- Or do they also need to have a paid AnkiHub subscription (e.g., Core) to be able to use the suggest changes feature on that public deck? I’m trying to clarify the collaboration capabilities for users subscribing to a public deck from a paid owner, specifically for those who might be free users.
- Regarding the costs for the ‘Organization’ feature:
- I would like to ask for clarification on the costs associated with AnkiHub’s ‘Organization’ feature.
- Specifically, what is the cost for the Organization creator/administrator?
- and what is the cost for members joining the Organization?
- We are considering using this feature for our large community (around 30,000 people) to better manage contributions and updates across various diverse topics. Understanding the cost implications for this large number of potential members is very important for us to assess feasibility, particularly given the exchange rate differences and the financial constraints of many students in Vietnam.
Our ultimate goal is to create high-quality, diverse, and more accessible learning resources for the entire Anki learning community in Vietnam.
We look forward to receiving detailed answers from AnkiHub to help us make the most suitable decision for our community.
Thank you very much for your support!
