I protected fields and tags after syncing and I lost some data, but I don’t care about that now (was minimal)

Will new updates delete anything if I already protected fields and tags from the ankihub deck website?

Regarding protected tags, subtags will be automatically protected if main tag is protected?

Will new updates delete anything if I already protected fields and tags from the ankihub deck website?

New updates from AnkiHub will affect two things:

  • Fields (text, extra, etc.) unless you have protected them using the AnkiHub protected data section
  • Tags unless you have protected them using the same section

Regarding protected tags, subtags will be automatically protected if main tag is protected?

Yes, if you have the following tags, all of them will be saved if you add “a” to your protected tags

  • “a::d::c”
  • “d::c::a”
  • “a”
