School Specific Tags Not Updating With Sync

Hello,

I subscribe to the AnkingStep deck, and follow my school’s specific tags. Often, these tags will update during the week, but I am not able to get the new cards when I Sync. For example, one of my tags has 37 tags, but my friend has the same tag with over 200 cards. These new cards do not show up, even after I sync. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and redownloaded the newest version of the app. I have already uploaded the logs (filename ankihub_addon_debug_info_claire.richardson_1755101798.zip)

Can you help me in getting the sync function to add the new cards to my tags?

Please follow this two-step process:

  1. First, reset your local changes by following this tutorial: How to Reset Local Changes
  2. Then, reset the optional tags using this guide: How to Reset Local Changes to an Optional Tag Group

I have already reset the local changes with the AI help bot, and when I follow the tutorial to reset the optional tags, I get this error message - You don’t have any optional tag groups configured yet.

That message indicates that you are not currently subscribed to any optional tags. Double-checking your account, I show that to be the case

Given that you do not seem to be currently subscribed to any optional tags I suspect that this is why your card count is not updating. You might try subscribing to the optional tag you’d like and seeing if that resolves the issue for you
