This usually happens when AnkiHub canāt correctly verify your Premium status in the Anki add-on, even though your subscription is active on the web.
Please try these quick checks (in order):
-
Force a reālogin in the add-on
- In Anki, go to Tools ā Add-ons ā AnkiHub ā Config (or the AnkiHub menu if you see it).
- Log out of AnkiHub (if possible), then log back in with the same email you used for your Premium purchase.
- Restart Anki and try Smart Search again.
-
Make sure youāre on the latest AnkiHub add-on
- In Anki: Tools ā Add-ons ā Check for Updates.
- Update AnkiHub if an update is available, restart Anki, then test Smart Search.
-
Check which account is Premium
- On the web: go to ankihub.net ā Profile ā Billing and confirm:
- The subscription is active.
- The email there matches the one shown in the AnkiHub add-on in Anki.
- On the web: go to ankihub.net ā Profile ā Billing and confirm:
-
Try a quick cache reset
- In Anki, disable the AnkiHub add-on, restart Anki, re-enable it, restart again, then try Smart Search.
If youāve done the above and Smart Search still shows the āUnlock Your Potential with Premiumā popup, itās likely an accountālinking bug on our side.
In that case, please reply in your topic with:
- The email of the account that has Premium (you can obfuscate it like
name***@gmail.com). - A screenshot of your Billing / Subscription page on AnkiHub.
- Your Anki version and AnkiHub add-on version.
This will give the AnkiHub team enough info to check your subscription on the backend and fix the Premium recognition for Smart Search.
I figured it out. Thanks
