Unable to download AnKing v12 (was previously using v11)

I have used AnKing v11 for a while but wanted to upgrade to v12. I subscribed to AnKing Step Deck on AnkiHub, downloaded the ankihub add on for my Anki-desktop and logged in on both the web AnkiHub and within the Anki-desktop. Both of these platforms recognize that I am subscribed to the AnKing Step Deck, but I am unable to download it.

  1. You have downloaded the ankihub addon and signed in [YES]
  2. You have subscribed to the deck you want [YES]
  3. You have clicked sync in Anki and clicked install [YES]
    The issue is that after I click Install, it says “sync complete” but nothing is downloaded. I don’t have any AK_Step1_v12 present.

I tried clicking AnkiHub - Deck Management afterwards and it indicates nothing is installed. Tried clicking install here and it also does not work.

I have restarted my computer, restarted anki, add/deleted the AnkiHub add on, and reset “all local changes to a deck”. I don’t know what else to try. Any guidance on how to download this deck would be appreciated!

I see you have tried resetting local changes already. Can you try it once more?

Do you see a prompt that says “download from ankiweb” or “upload to ankiweb”?

If you see that, please click “upload to ankiweb”

Tried that again, no change.

I never see the screen “download from ankiweb” or “upload to ankiweb”? – I can’t get past the “install” screenshot I posted because I’m getting the notification, “Could not connect to AnkiHub (no internet or the site is down for maintenance)”. I’ve tried multiple different internet sources so I don’t believe it’s an internet issue.

Any other ideas? I’m basically unable to install the deck…

What version of Anki are you on? Are you on the latest version?

Do you have a hot spot you can try using?

Yes, I updated to the newest version yesterday and I’ve tried a hotspot. Neither changed the situation.

How long is the uploading supposed to take? I’ve tried multiple times but it hasn’t finished for hours

Would it be possible to speak to someone concerning this issue? Is it easier to delete v11 and start new altogether? I fear I’ll continue to run into the issue of being unable to download v12 from AnkiHub.

I also have the Anki App – I am having trouble distinguishing the sync to AnkiWeb vs sync to AnkiHub. Any help to download V12 would be very appreciated. I just paid for it and can’t use it!!!

There’s a known issue in Anki versions newer than 23.12.1 preventing some users from connecting to AnkiHub. Can you try downgrading to Anki 23.12.1?
