Iām having an issue on MacOs that started this afternoon. Iām unable to submit my optional tag suggestions for the AnKing Overhaul deck. After I hit submit suggestions (and click the maintainers box), the screen shows as if itās submitting suggestions but then goes back to the āoptional tag suggestionsā window where you select which tag group to add to without syncing the changes. Tag updates are not showing up on the AnkiHub website or on subscriber computers. Suggestions I made this morning are showing up.
I think I found the issue; one of the notes I tagged was also tagged for deletion in AnkiHub. Once deleting all of those notes, I was able to successfully sync my optional tags.
Me and another classmate have also recently had some issues submitting optional tags. The one Iām looking at doesnāt have tags marked for deletion though.
When I hit the submit button it doesnāt do the normal loading screen and never says āOptional tags suggestions submitted.ā And it doesnāt cross over to other subscribers.
The one that I identified that is having the issue is Anki id: 1481335224891
Donāt know if itāll help you find a solution to this issue faster, but this sounds like the same issue I had back last June with the first round of card deletions here: Optional Tags Suggestions Failing to Submit
Also currently having this issue where the optional tag suggestion dialogue doesnāt spit out an error message if we try to suggest a card that has recently been removed from AnkiHub. Removing tags from the cards that pop-up when restricting the search to those with āankihub_suggestion_type:deleteā fixes the issue and allows us to upload them.

The suggestion button should actually be disabled for deleted notes in the last add-on update, but users can still submit such suggestions if the last time they synced was before the note was marked for deletion.
Yeah, I still canāt figure out whatās going on with Anki id: 1481335224891. I read over CTE_BrainDamageās link, but I donāt think thatās the issue with this one since itās not marked at all for deletion or anything.
I was having the same issue. None of my optional tag suggestions would get uploaded if I did a bulk upload. I narrowed it down to it being an issue with tag:AnkiHub_Deleted. I filtered out that tag and then the upload worked. I think on the backend if there is an issue with a card instead of skipping over and ignoring it and moving on to the next card, instead the entire process gets terminated and none of the tags get uploaded.
