Based on my search, I found some helpful information about Image Occlusion (IO) โ€œone by oneโ€ cards in AnkiHub. Let me help you with the issues youโ€™re experiencing:

Common Issues with IO One by One Cards

  1. Blank/Empty Cards When Reviewing

    • This typically happens with one-by-one cards that have a missing cloze
    • To fix this:
      • Go to Tools โ†’ Empty Cards โ†’ Delete (keep the box checked)
    • If this doesnโ€™t work, it might be due to protected fields in AnkiHub
  2. Using One by One Cards Correctly

    • These cards allow you to sequentially reveal clozes in order
    • Keyboard shortcuts:
      • Use n to toggle each box individually
      • Use , to toggle all boxes at once
      • Use h or ' to open all at once
  3. Disabling One by One Feature

    • If you donโ€™t like this feature, you can remove text from the โ€œOne by oneโ€ field
    • This converts them back to normal cloze notes
    • You can also protect individual fields

Could you provide more details about your specific issue with IO one by one cards? Is it related to blank cards, difficulty using the feature, or something else?

We pushed an update for some IO issues last week. Please update the AnKing Notetypes add-on from Tools > Add-ons > Check for Updates then use AnKing > AnKing Notetypes > Update noetypes
