Hello! I understand you’re having trouble activating AnkiHub on macOS 10.13.6 and can’t check the β€œI agree” checkbox during setup. This could be related to compatibility issues with your macOS version.

Possible Solutions

1. Check macOS Requirements

AnkiHub requires a more recent version of macOS than 10.13.6 (High Sierra), which was released in 2017. The add-on may not be fully compatible with your operating system version.

2. Try Alternative Input Methods

  • Try using the keyboard instead of mouse to navigate to and select the checkbox
  • Press Tab key to navigate to the checkbox and then press Space to check it
  • If possible, try using a different mouse/input device

3. Update Your System

If possible, consider updating to a newer version of macOS as this would likely resolve compatibility issues with modern add-ons.

4. Alternative Installation Method

Try installing the add-on through a different method:

  1. Close Anki completely
  2. Start Anki in safe mode by holding the Shift key while starting Anki
  3. Go to Tools β†’ Add-ons β†’ Install from file
  4. Download the AnkiHub add-on file directly from AnkiWeb and install it manually

If you continue to experience issues, you might need to consider:

  1. Using a newer operating system
  2. Using AnkiHub on a different device with a supported OS version

Would you like me to provide more specific instructions for any of these approaches?

What’s your Anki version? Are you using the Qt5 build? This is a common issue with that verison.
