What is the OnlineMedEd Banner at the top of most notes and can it go away?

Hello!

Loving the new deck. What is this icon and how do I get it to go away? It shows up at the top of many cards (above the answer) and when I click on it the link does not seem to work https://meded.cat/3zg8qKf?utm_source=ankihub . Is this a feature of the cards now being in AnkiHub? Is there a way for me to get rid fo the icon.

That OnlineMedEd banner is part of the card styling for the AnKing deck, not something added by the AnkiHub add‑on. It’s just an image/link reference on the card template.

If you’d like to remove it locally (just for your personal deck):

1. In Anki Desktop, open the deck and click Browse.
2. Select one of the cards showing the banner.
3. At the top, click Cards… to open the card templates.
4. In the Front Template and/or Back Template, look for HTML that mentions OnlineMedEd, OnlineMedEd, meded.cat, or an image tag around that banner (something like <img ... OnlineMedEd ...> or a <div>/<a> wrapping it).
5. Delete that snippet of code (only the part for the banner), then click Save.

That will remove the banner from all cards that use that template on your computer, while leaving the shared AnkiHub deck itself intact.

If you’d like, you can paste the relevant part of your card template here (without any code modifications you’ve tried), and I can point out exactly what to delete.

This field currently contains the OnlineMedEd banner. It will be updated with new links in the near future as we work with OnlineMedEd to improve this.

If you want to remove it, please follow these steps:

1. Download and install the AnKing Note Types add-on: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/952691989
2. After it’s installed, restart Anki.
3. On the Anki main screen, navigate to AnKing > AnKing Note Types.
4. Select the Note Type where you want to make the changes.
5. Check the box to disable the field.
