Why is the AnkiHub AI Chatbot not showing up for me?
If the AI features are not showing up, ensure the following:
- You have an active AnkiHub premium subscription
- You have the latest version of the AnkiHub add-on
- You are not on a scholarship subscription
- You are on the latest version of Anki
- You are using a deck that has AI enabled (such as the AnKing Step Deck)
How to enable/disable the AnkiHub AI Chatbot?
- On your Anki main screen, go to
AnkiHub > Config
- Make sure the boxes are checked.
- Click “Save’”
Still can’t see the AI features?
If you still cannot see the AI features, you might need to change new card destination, to do this:

In your main Anki screen, go to the top left and click the AnkiHub add-on

Click Deck Management

Select the deck that has AI enabled (for example, the AnKing Step Deck)

Click “Change Destination for New Cards”

Select the AnKing Step Deck (if it already selected, try selecting it again and click “Confirm Destination for New Cards”
Where the AnkiHub AI Chatbot should appear?
The AnkiHub AI Chatbot, First Aid, and Boards & Beyond features should appear in the bottom-right corner when studying cards:
