Reading: 🤝 Subscribing to a Deck
Hi Superstarpiggy,
It seems you’re having an issue where decks you’ve subscribed to in AnkiHub appear empty after syncing. This is actually normal behavior for many AnkiHub decks, especially the AnKing decks.
Why Your Decks Show 0 Cards
The reason your newly subscribed decks appear empty is because all cards are initially suspended when you first install/sync them through AnkiHub. This is by design to allow you to selectively unsuspend only the cards you want to study rather than being overwhelmed with thousands of cards at once.
How to Fix This:
- Go to the Browse section in Anki
- On the left-hand side, navigate to the Tags section
- Find the tags for the deck you’ve subscribed to (e.g., #AK_Step1_V12 if you’re using the AnKing Step Deck)
- Select the cards you want to study
- Right-click → Toggle suspend (or press Ctrl+J/Cmd+J)
After unsuspending, the cards will appear in your deck and be available for review.
