Hello,
Could you send me a screenshot of your Anki decks and the deck management view?
From there, we can start troubleshooting the issue.
Let me help explain some common reasons why this issue occurs and how to resolve it. Based on your description, this is a frequently encountered situation when installing the AnKing Step Deck.
Let me search for relevant information first:

Based on your description, this is a common issue that can be resolved by following a few troubleshooting steps. Let me help guide you through this:
First, please check these things:
- Have you:
- Subscribed to the deck on AnkiHub?
- Logged into the AnkiHub add-on and clicked sync?
- Clicked āUpload to AnkiWebā if prompted?
If youāve done all of the above and still canāt see the deck, hereās what you can try:
-
Reset Local Changes:
- Go to Browse in your Anki
- Click on the AnkiHub add-on tab at the top
- Click āReset all local changesā
-
Check Deck Management:
Since you mentioned you can see it in deck management but not on the main page:- Go to the AnkiHub add-on
- Click on Deck Management
- Select the AnKing Overhaul Deck
- Make sure you have set a destination for new cards (this is where new cards will appear)
-
Check if the Deck is Empty:
Sometimes the deck might appear to be missing because all cards are suspended. You can check this by:- Going to Browse
- Looking at the left-hand side under Tags
- Finding tags like #AK_Step1_V12
- Unsuspending cards as needed
Could you please provide screenshots of:
- Your main Anki screen
- The AnkiHub deck management view
This will help us better identify exactly whatās happening and provide more specific guidance.
Can you try this:
Please try resetting your local changes. To do this:
Go to browse in your Anki ā at the top click on the ankihub addon tab ā press reset all local changes
This will restore everything to what AnkiHub has unless you have specifically protected those fields
I did that and it still does not show up
I noticed that you destination for cards is in a different deck, have you tried changing that or checking the subdeck āIntermediateā inside āGetting Started with Ankiā?
Also, can you show us a screenshot of your browser?
Ok I created a new deck called āstep 2ā and changed the destination to the new deck, then I reset all the local changes, but the deck is still showing up in the intermediate tab, furthermore there are no sub headers below it, is there a way to get all the sub headings?
A couple of things:
If you scroll down to tags you should be able to click on the Step 2 tag and select all of the cards related to Step 2:
From here, you can command+A, right-click, select āchange deckā and move them to a new deck if youād like.
You can repeat this for the Step 1 and Step 3 tags, if you also want to move those cards around.
Iām not sure which āsubheadersā you mean, but I presume subdecks?
The Step Deck hasnāt used subdecks for quite some time, for a few reasons. If you prefer to have them you can pretty easily create them as you see fit but thereās no way to automatically institute them unfortunately.
Please let me know if that answers your question, and if thereās anything else I can help with.
