I am a maintainer trying to sync deck with classmates. When I add cards to the deck it will not let me “Bulk suggest notes” to add them to the deck.
I have tried changing the card type to ().

What note type is the card? Does it have the deck name at the end in brackets?
Also, what Anki version are you running? Try updating if you’re not on the latest version → https://apps.ankiweb.net/
Just to make sure: at least in the image you provided you only have a single note selected. Are you selecting multiple notes before attempting to bulk suggest?

Was this a new note type you created or do other cards also have this note type and they work fine?
Other cards have this note type and work fine.
When I create my own note it works fine. I have transferred these cards from an old deck. Does that have anything to do with it?
Yes, that can potentially mess it up.
You can try editing the note type and change it to something else that is already present in your Anki, then switch them back again to the AnkiHub note type to see if it can pick it up
In order for changes to be pushed to the centralized deck on Ankihub you’ll have to suggest those changes.
This is to avoid every single change made locally, by any maintainer, from immediately causing version-changes to the server copy (which could be a mess).
