How to Download and Set Up the AnKing Deck

Here’s a clear step-by-step guide:

  1. Make sure you have the AnkiHub add-on installed in Anki:

    • Open Anki on your Mac
    • Go to Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons
    • Paste this code: 1322529746
    • Click OK and wait for it to install

  2. Log into AnkiHub through the add-on:

    • After installation, click on the “AnkiHub” menu at the top of your Anki window
    • Log in with your AnkiHub account credentials (the one you created with your subscription)

  3. Subscribe to the AnKing deck on the AnkiHub website:

    • Go to https://app.ankihub.net/explore/
    • Find “AnKing Step Deck” and click the “Subscribe to Deck” button
    • Make sure you see “Subscribed” confirmation

  4. Sync Anki to download the deck:

    • Go back to Anki
    • Click the “Sync” button (or press “Y” on your keyboard)
    • If prompted to “Upload to AnkiWeb” or “Download from AnkiWeb”, select as appropriate
    • Wait for the sync to complete

  5. Verify the deck installation:

    • Go to “Browse” in Anki
    • Click on “Tags” in the left sidebar

Important Note

When you first install the deck, it will show 0 cards because all cards are suspended by default. This is normal and intentional - the AnKing deck is designed to let you unsuspend cards as you study specific topics.

How to Start Using the Deck

To start studying:

  1. Go to Browse → Tags → find #AK_Step1_V12
  2. Navigate to a specific topic tag you want to study
  3. Select all cards for that topic (Cmd+A)
  4. Right-click and select “Toggle Suspend” to unsuspend them
  5. Now these cards will appear in your deck for review

If you’re still having trouble, you might need to reset your local changes:

  • Go to Browse in Anki
  • Click on the AnkiHub add-on tab at the top
  • Select “Reset all local changes”
