Hi folks,
The best way I can describe it is itâs like the AnKing deck is just doing whatever it wants to do with the cards in terms of where it places it back into the algorithm once I answer a card. The card could be new, I might click again, and it will respond as though I had hit easy. That is, the card basically disappears from whatâs appearing in terms of cards remaining in each category. This will happen multiple times in a study session. I might have three reviews left; answer that 3rd from the end card, and itâll jump to the âCongratulations youâve finished all the cardsâ page. Whatâs weird is if I then go answer cards from a different deck (the USPSTF recommendations deck, for example), that deck will behave all wonky also, and when I get back to the home screen the deck that had cards disappear or not go to the right place will then be waiting as âlearningâ or as reviews.
Super frustrating, any help would be much appreciated, thanks very much
It just started happening this week. I took Step 1, passed ( ), took two weeks away from it and then had to make some fairly significant changes to adjust it to how Iâm going to use it for my clinical years. I did it with the help of a buddy who is considered the Anki expert in our class.
That said, I did not change any of my actual settings as it relates to new cards/lapses/burying, but when I downloaded the specific âAnkiHub_Optionalâ â âTTUHSC_Lubbockâ tag that I am going to use this year and then synced everything, my settings were in fact changed. And thatâs when this started - which was Sunday.
Iâm about to study in a bit, Iâll get the âreview dataâ on a card then.
The only way I can see that things changed is when installing a new AnkiHub deck, clicking on âuse recommended settingsâ will change things
If you go to your deck settings and nothing has changed in terms of interval settings or learn ahead limit etc, then it most likely is not AnkiHub related
Letâs see the review data then we can get a better look on whatâs going on
Hey thanks dude. What a grind it was.
Ok, I did what you asked and captured the review data when it did what I described above, but as Iâm looking at it, I realize it was the HoggieMed USPSTF recs dec so I donât know if thatâs gonna help. Also I took a picture of the deck screen too - notice the 1 buried card indication - that deck, like all of my decks, doesnât have burying turned on at all. Also, Iâve included two screen shots from within Anking (where it says I have 53 new and 9 learning cards), and then I went immediately out on the âDecksâ screen - and it says I have 53 new and 26
Also for the last image attached, it appears its working as intended where the intervals go up each time and then it goes from learn to review with the proper timings, correct?
Yeah I think the schedule is working; itâs not the schedule itself. Somethingâs justâŚfunky/weird.
For example, I just had 7 new cards left, 0 learning, 0 reviews. I turned over each of those cards, clicked âagainâ for each of those cards, and as I did, they did not go to the âlearningâ pile, they disappeared. As though I had hit âeasyâ on them.
And when I hit again for the last new card, it said, âCongratulationsâ Now, they will eventually pop back up in the âlearningâ pile after I go unlock some other cards or work on another deck or close Anki and re-open it.
The learn ahead limit! It was at zero, I increased it, I think that did it! Ahmed7, I donât know what school youâre at or where you are in the process, but the fact that you make time to help peeps figure out how this stuff is awesome bro. Thank you so much.
