To help you with your AnKing Step Deck sync with AnkiWeb / AnkiHub issue, please reply with:
What you’re trying to do
For example: “I want to use the AnKing Step Deck with AnkiHub and still sync my cards to AnkiWeb.”
Your setup
Computer OS (Windows/macOS/Linux)
Anki version
AnkiHub add-on version (if you know it)
Are you already subscribed to any AnkiHub decks?
What’s going wrong
Is the problem:
Subscribing to the Step Deck on AnkiHub?

Syncing to AnkiWeb after installing the deck from AnkiHub?
Any error messages? If yes, please copy them or add a screenshot.
Screenshots
A screenshot of:
Your AnkiHub add-on window (showing subscribed decks), and/or
The Anki sync error or issue you’re seeing.
Once you share that info, I can give step‑by‑step instructions specific to your case (for example, how to correctly install the Step Deck, subscribe in AnkiHub, and still sync safely with AnkiWeb).
From the image, this is an AnkiHub add‑on error while trying to download/install the AnKing Step Deck to your PC. Let’s go step by step.
1. Basic checks
Please confirm:
Anki version: You’re on Anki 2.1.65 or later (the popup shows “26.05”, which is actually 2.1.65 alpha notation—please go to Help → About and tell us the exact version).
AnkiHub add‑on:
Go to Tools → Add-ons → AnkiHub → View Files
Click Check for Updates in the Add‑ons window and restart Anki.
If you’re not on the latest stable Anki and latest AnkiHub add‑on, please update first, then try the download again.
2. Re‑try a clean AnkiHub download
In Anki, go to Tools → AnkiHub.
Log in (if not already).
In the Decks tab, find the AnKing Step Deck.
Click Download (or Re-download if it shows that) and wait.
If it errors again, press “Report error” in the popup. This will attach the full traceback for the devs.
3. Things that can interfere
If you still can’t download, please reply with:
A full screenshot of the error window with “Show error details” expanded so we can see the whole traceback.
Your:
Windows version (e.g., Windows 11 23H2)
Exact Anki version (from Help → About)
AnkiHub add‑on version (shown in Tools → Add-ons → AnkiHub)
Also let us know:
Did you already have any version of the AnKing Step Deck in your collection before trying AnkiHub?
Are you subscribed to any other AnkiHub decks, and do those sync/download correctly?
With that info, I can narrow down whether it’s:
A version incompatibility
A corrupted previous deck install
Or something else specific to your setup and give you precise fix steps.
Just to make sure: this does not appear to be related to the original poster’s issue; can you copy-and-paste the error message you’re receiving just so we can take a look? The screenshot is helpful, but only shows a fraction of the error message from what I can see
Any other context you can share may also be useful: when it is occurring, if any specific behavior is triggering it, what issues you’re running into, etc.. Screenshots are ideal, if you can, just so I can see what you’re seeing
