Based on my research, it looks like you’re encountering a common issue with the AnKing deck where your cards are showing instructions instead of the actual card content. Here’s how to fix this:

The Issue

What you’re seeing is a placeholder message that’s meant to direct users to the wiki for instructions on using the deck. The actual card content isn’t showing because:

  1. The fields in your note type are likely protected
  2. You need to unprotect these fields to allow the AnkiHub content to display properly

How to Fix It

Step 1: Unprotect the Fields

  1. Open Anki and go to Browse
  2. Click on any card
  3. At the top of the window, find and click on the Fields… button
  4. In the dialog that appears, you’ll see checkboxes next to each field that indicate “Protected” status
  5. Uncheck all the protected fields (especially Front, Back, and any other content fields)
  6. Click Close to save your changes

Step 2: Reset Local Changes

  1. In the Browse window, click on the AnkiHub addon tab at the top
  2. Click on Reset all local changes
  3. This will restore everything to what AnkiHub has in their database

Step 3: Sync Again

  1. Click the Sync button in the main Anki window
  2. Wait for the sync to complete

Additional Information

  • Remember that all cards in the AnKing deck start suspended by default
  • To study cards, you need to unsuspend them first by browsing to the relevant tags and right-clicking to toggle suspend
  • The wiki page you see in the message contains helpful information on using the deck, so it’s worth checking out at: AnKing Overhaul Wiki

If you’re still having issues after trying these steps, please reply with more details about what you’re seeing, and I’ll be happy to provide further assistance!
