It says this for me every time I try to use the chat bot for help. I can’t unsuspend the cards using smart search. Can anyone else with either of these issues?

Thanks for the screenshot, that helps.
1. About the chat bot error
The message:
“An error occurred. Sorry, you cannot send a personal message to that user.”
usually means Discourse is blocking a DM-like action. The AnkiHub chat bot works by creating a private conversation, so:
New accounts at low trust levels sometimes have PM limits.
There can also be a temporary config issue on the forum side (not your fault).
What you can do:
Confirm you’re logged in to the forum with the same account you used to access the bot.
Try again in a different browser or an incognito window (to rule out extension issues).
If it still happens every time, this is likely a permissions/config issue that only staff can fix – I’d tag it for staff attention by writing something like:
It looks like my account can’t start a chat with the bot (“cannot send a personal message to that user”). Could a staff member please check my PM permissions / bot settings?
(You’ve already made this topic, so staff should be able to investigate from here.)
2. Unsuspending cards with Smart Search
While the bot isn’t working, you can still unsuspend via the AnkiHub add-on:
Update Anki + AnkiHub add-on to the latest versions (both Anki and the add-on).
In Anki, go to Browse → Search and make sure:
You’re in the correct profile and deck.
The AnkiHub add-on is enabled (Tools → Add-ons → AnkiHub → Toggle).
Use Smart Search from the AnkiHub pane:
Try a very simple query first (e.g. only the tag you want).
If Smart Search returns results but doesn’t unsuspend, try:
Select all the found cards.
Use Cards → Toggle Suspend (or the suspend/unsuspend button) manually as a workaround.
If Smart Search itself gives an error or finds 0 cards when you’re sure there should be some, please add:
A screenshot of the Smart Search window with the query you’re using.
The exact deck name and what you’re trying to unsuspend (e.g., “Step 1 unsuspended by tag xyz”).
That info will let staff narrow down whether the issue is with your account, the deck, or the add-on.
Could you specify the problem you’re facing? Can’t see Smartsearch? When you try to use Smartsearch, does an error occur? You can get results for Smartsearch, but you can’t unsuspend the flashcards?
Please include screenshots of the steps you are taking and show exactly where the issue is occurring so I can understand it better.
