I see you’re encountering a “Database inconsistent” error when using AnkiHub with your Cardiac Ischemia I deck. This is typically an Anki database issue rather than a specific AnkiHub problem.

To fix this issue, please try the following troubleshooting steps in order:

  1. Close Anki completely and restart it.

  2. Run Check Database:

    • Go to Tools > Check Database
    • This will scan your collection and fix most database inconsistencies
  3. If the problem persists:

    • Close Anki
    • Hold down the Shift key while starting Anki to temporarily disable add-ons
    • Check if the issue still occurs (this helps determine if an add-on is causing the problem)
  4. Make sure your Anki is up to date:

    • Check Help > About or Anki > About to see your version
    • Update to the latest version if needed
  5. If still having issues:

    • Try making a backup of your collection first (File > Export > Anki Collection Package)
    • Then try the full database check and repair again

The mismatch between your deck browser count (showing 70) and what you expect (50 cards) suggests there might be some suspended or filtered cards, or possibly duplicates that the database check should help resolve.

If these steps don’t resolve your issue, please let me know what happens when you try them, and I’ll help troubleshoot further.

Hello,

Please try the following steps:

  1. In Anki, go to Tools > Check Database.

If step 1 didn’t help, you can try:

  1. If your Anki collection is synced with other devices, run a Check Database on them as well. Then, on your mobile device, go to the sync settings and force a one-way sync to upload to AnkiWeb. Finally, sync your desktop to download the changes from AnkiWeb.

  2. If you don’t have your collection on other devices, you will need to restore it from a backup created before the error occurred. Here’s a tutorial on how to do that: How to Restore from Backup

If the issue is fixed, reset local changes to make sure you have all the cards: How to Reset Local Changes

Let us know if the issue persists.

After checking the database. My sync button is red and it’s asking me to download from ankiweb or upload to Ankiweb which do I do? I selected download from Ankiweb and its making me go through the process again

You have to upload to AnkiWeb. That way you will upload the fixed Anki collection to the cloud
