Extra AnKing deck

I have installed and subscribed to anking deck recently (not studying it) and I tried to import v11 and then had problems so I used a manual backup i had, then a few tweaks here and there (like using or not using special fields add on, protect fields, using the ankidroid as another final back to upload to web). NOW overal the number of notes is 35085 (i guess ok) But 1: I’m not sure if deck updates itself since i have the fa media and i wasn’t protecting it (now i do). 2.I have an extra deck called “AnKing Step Deck (AnkiHub)” for some reason which has no notes and if deleted is recreated when syncing. 3.regardless, is there any way to be sure if the deck is updating/syncing itself ? 4.i have media in the collection.media but it still wants to sync.

Hello,

  1. If you’re subscribed and have the deck downloaded, it will update automatically. Just make sure that the fields you want to be updated — especially the Text and Extra fields — are not protected. You can follow this tutorial to check or change that:

  2. Try this tutorial to understand and fix the issue of having two AnKing decks:

  3. Once you follow the tutorial above and set the correct destination deck for your cards, I can assure you the deck will update properly.
  4. I’m not sure I fully understood this point — are you saying you already have all the media, but it still shows as syncing? Are you referring to Anki or AnkiHub sync?

You can check your media status on AnkiHub by clicking AnkiHub in the main Anki screen:

Just keep in mind that there’s a lot of media, and syncing can take a while — especially when syncing to a mobile device via AnkiWeb.

thanks alot appreciate it. destination was set to that weird “anking step deck (ankihub)”. now the media problem is fixed too. I guess when you import the anking step deck, you have to manually set the destination into it for it to recognize it.
