Failure to synchronize correctly

So I recently purchased Ankihub to make sure my cards are updated however, I am having a lot of trouble getting it to actually synchronize. I have followed all the steps necessary and have attempted to synchronize multiple times. I have attached an image to confirm that I have followed all the steps to have Ankihub functioning.

I am certain the synchronization is failing to work properly because I have over 44k cards in my Anking Deck when there should only be a little over 29K cards in the deck.

Additionally, upon downloading Ankihub I was asked to download an additional deck โ€œAnking Overhaul for Step 1 & 2โ€ however this deck only has 363 cards and so I am certain this is not the correct deck either.

I have no idea what is happening and I really really need help correcting this without losing the progress I have made on the Anking deck I currently have made!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The deck has about 29K notes, and about 35K cards. If you had an older version of the deck, that probably explains the difference in the counts, as I believe a lot of notes were deleted from the version on AnkiHub (@Ahmed7 can probably provide more details).

Maybe you have subscribed to a deck with a similar name to the official one. I checked your account and didnโ€™t see it in your deck list, so I assume you unsubscribed already.

As @abdo.nh said above, make sure you are subscribed to the correct AnKing deck.

You might have two decks, please see this wiki post to merge the two decks (under why do I have two AnKing decks)

Then, please try resetting your local changes. To do this:

Go to browse in your Anki โ†’ at the top click on ankihub addon tab โ†’ press reset all local changes

This will restore everything to what AnkiHub has unless you have specifically protected those fields

Also, make sure you delete empty cards if you have not done so already. On Anki, go to the top left and find tools, then click on empty cards, then press delete

Thank you Abdo and Ahmed for showing an interest in helping me out. I really do appreciate your time and prompt response, however I am still having difficulties unfortunately.

I have made sure that I am subscribed to the correct Anking deck and that this is the deck I have been subscribed to before reaching out for help.

Additionally I have completed the merge of decks, a reset of local changes, and deleted any empty cards as instructed yet the number of notes has not changed.

The rest of the cards might be V11 cards if you finished merging the two decks.

If they do not have an AnkiHub ID or you are not able to suggest some cards, that means those are V11 cards that are no longer part of the AnkiHub AnKing deck

Enable the AnkiHub ID option from the list and see if they have numbers. If it says not ankihub note type, that means its a v11 card which has not been added to V12. They can be deleted if you wish

Oh I see. Thank you for help Ahmed. Last question, is there any way to isolate the non Ankihub cards? Iโ€™ve added the sorting filter, however, it gives me an error saying itโ€™s unable to sort using that field? Do you have any suggestions on how to identify those cards since it will likely take me a very very long time to select all those cards individually?

I am not sure how to isolate the v11 cards from v12. This is something that I still have an issue with haha.

@abdo.nh Do you know if there is an easy way to sort all the ankihub cards (V12) from the v11 cards that are not on ankihub in the same deck?

I believe I figured it out.

Go to note types โ†’ find AnKing Overhaul โ†’ these are all the V11 cards (since all the V12 cards have the note type (AnKing Overhaul (AnKingMed))

@fahdm99

Worked like a charm. Youโ€™re a hero Ahmed. Thank you so much for all your help gentleman!
