While studying for Step 1, I moved certain cards from the Anking deck to a dedicated, personal “Step1” deck that I was using.
When it came time to study for rotations, I deleted that old Anking deck, got Ankihub, and redownloaded Anking from the web. But now I realize that those cards that I had moved are still in the “Step1” deck, despite me updating with Ankihub.
Go to browse → on the left hand side go to decks → find the step 1 deck you made → click on it → click on any card → Ctrl + A to select the entire deck → right click → change deck
Now pick the deck you want to put all the cards into and it should work!
I had also made cards of my own within that deck. Is there a way I can search for all Anki cards within it? So far I have “tag:!AK*” but this doesn’t find them all.
Also, does it matter which deck I move them into? I’m a little confused why there is an “Anking” deck and an “Anking Overhaul for Step 1&2” deck
I just want to move the Anking cards, which is why I was trying to search for a tag to somehow filter them.
The “Anking” deck is not the one I made though - mine is just called “Step 1”
I deleted everything that had to do with Anking before subscribing to Ankihub and reinstalling it. Maybe I reinstalled from a bad link? If I were to delete + reinstall through Ankihub now would it save my review history and stuff?
Now you have selected all AnKing V12 cards → Ctrl + A → right click → change deck
For any V11 cards that were not moved to V12 (because we marked them as duplicates), you just have to do the same thing for the note type that just says “AnKingOverhaul”
It depends on what note type you used to make your personal cards, if it was “AnKingOverhaul” then you cant move those because it will also move the cards you made. If you used another note type however (basic note type), then you can move it.
Apologies if this is confusing, let me know if this made sense
