You’re seeing exactly what we’d expect with newer AnkiHub decks, so nothing is “wrong” with your import.

1. Why are only a few images showing?

On AnkiHub decks (including First Aid–style decks):

  • Most original First Aid images are not included for copyright reasons.
  • Instead, the AnKing/AnkiHub team:
    • Removed FA images that can’t be redistributed.
    • Replaced some with public‑domain or licensed images where possible.
  • Result:
    • You’ll see some images (those we’re allowed to share).
    • Places where you’d expect a First Aid screenshot/figure will often be blank or have replacement content instead.

So if:

  • The cards are loading,
  • A few images (e.g., diagrams) appear,
then your media import is working correctly. The “missing” ones are simply not part of the shared deck.

If you suspect a true media issue (e.g., every card shows broken image icons):

  1. In Anki desktop, go to Tools → Check Media to let Anki fix/index files.
  2. Then sync fully with AnkiWeb on your computer.
  3. After that, sync your other device(s) so the media transfers over.

2. Do you need to import media separately for “100 Concepts Anatomy”?

It depends on how you added it:

  • If you subscribed to “100 Concepts Anatomy” directly on AnkiHub (like the First Aid deck):

    • All media that’s included with that deck on AnkiHub will come through the normal AnkiHub sync.
    • You do not need a separate manual media import unless the deck author specifically provides and instructs you to use one.
  • If you imported it from a separate .apkg file (not via AnkiHub subscription):

    • That .apkg usually already contains the media.
    • After importing, again use Tools → Check Media and then sync.

If you can share whether you added 100 Concepts Anatomy by:

  • subscribing to it on AnkiHub, or
  • importing a separate file from elsewhere,

I can give you very specific next steps (and help you confirm if media is actually missing vs. just not part of the shared content).

Hello,

I would be happy to help.

I’m not entirely sure which First Aid deck you’re referencing, as there are a few on AnkiHub. But, you might check the deck page and see if the media has been posted separately by the deck owner, as I show to be the case for at least one of them

Similarly with the 100 Concepts deck, I believe that there are a few that folks have uploaded with confusingly similar names. Again here, you might check the deck page and see if the media has been hosted separately by the deck owner

Unfortunately, neither deck is maintained by the AnkiHub team, and both have been uploaded by individual users, so you may have the most luck reaching out to the owners of the respective decks for clarity as to how they’ve handled media hosting

For at least one of the 100 Concepts decks, it appears that other folks have had this same problem. Again here, you may have to reach out to the deck owner for more assistance:

Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.
