Hello, I just recently subscribed to ankihub, and then proceeded to subscribe to several decks, being the Anki step deck, Pathoma, and 2024 First Aid Rapid Review - USMLE STEP 1.
After I downloaded them, and synced them to my decks I tried to test one of them out, specifically one I knew had photos (I checked ankiweb), and when I flipped the card, I saw the picture didn’t load, and had an image icon in its place.
This is a photo of my screen, as you can see, under the answer line there is a photo icon in the space where a photo should be

Hello Abdu! I see you’re having trouble with images not showing up in your AnkiHub decks. This is a common issue that can be easily fixed.
What’s happening
When you see the missing image icon in your cards, it means you have the HTML reference to an image in your card, but the actual image file is missing from your Anki media folder.
How to fix this
Since you’re using AnkiHub decks (including Anki Step deck, Pathoma, and First Aid Rapid Review), the solution is straightforward:
Check media and sync:
First, make sure your AnkiHub add-on is up to date
Go to Tools → Check Media in Anki to see if it reports missing files
Make sure you’ve fully synced with AnkiHub and AnkiWeb
Import the missing media:
AnkiHub now has media support built-in, so most images should download automatically. However, you might need to:
Open your Anki
Click on the AnkiHub menu at the top
Select Import Media
Follow the prompts to import any missing media files
If you still have issues:
Check if the image fields are protected in AnkiHub (some fields are protected by default)
You may need to unprotect certain fields to see their content
For First Aid images specifically, make sure the relevant fields are unprotected
You might double check; it may be that the media is missing as the deck owner may have opted to include the media for that deck as a separate file. You can find more information by checking out the information for the deck page here:
