Most of OtoKing media not downloading

The media is present in Ankihub, but most cards in the Anki App do not have the media. I tried resetting all local changes to the OtoKing deck.
The OtoKing deck is made by rw1119.

Hello,

Itโ€™s a little bit tougher to troubleshoot since the deck was uploaded by a private individual, and isnโ€™t a deck that is maintained by AnkiHub. But, a couple of quick things:

  • When did you install the deck? Is the media still syncing?

  • Have you checked to make sure that your fields are not protected?

  • What version of Anki are you currently running?

Hi,

Thank you for your quick reply!

I installed it within the last week.
I checked and made sure all the fields are not protected.
As far as I know, I am on the latest version of Anki (24.11).

The media in Anki is still syncing as far as I know as well.
It just shows up with the error as per the screenshots above

Can you double-check for Anki version for me, just to make sure?

When you hit sync, do you have a circular arrow in the corner near the button and/or when you click on Ankihub on the top menu bar what does it say next to โ€˜media syncโ€™?

The sync does this, and for the OtoKing deck too:

A couple of things:

I installed the deck myself and I get the same error. Itโ€™s likely that there is an issue with the deck itself, most likely. You might try to reach out to the deck author and see if they are aware of any similar issues.

Additionally, the deck landing page itself notes that โ€œcurrently, the deck is incompleteโ€ which may be contributing to the issue/s here.

The deckโ€™s subscriber base is quite small (9 subscribers, likely including both you and I at the moment) so I donโ€™t have a lot else to go on, and the deck isnโ€™t maintained by AnkiHub so I am somewhat limited in what Iโ€™m able to do for a private deck

From what I can see, all indications point to there potentially being an issue with the uploaded deck itself for which the most likely solution is for the deck owner to re-upload either the media or the deck itself, and/or to host the media separately.

Hopefully this is of some help. If you have any other questions, Iโ€™d be happy to help as much as I can.

Okay, I can reach out to the deck owner.
I think another user had similarly posted about the issue as well previously.
Hopefully the deck owner is able to resolve it

Thank you for your help!
